I promise not to make this a house-project blog, though I probably will show when a major project has been completed some before and afters. That's all anyone likes to see these days it seems like. Crap Vs. Improved. Last week a certain friend who works at a certain store that sells hardwood flooring called me telling me of a fantastic deal I couldn't refuse from him "Do you want 500 square feet of hardwood flooring that normally sells for $6 a square foot for 32 cents a square foot?" Quick Calculation... "wait, you mean, give me $3000 worth of hardwood flooring for $160. Sure. Yep. I'll be there right away.." How could I pass that up? It just so happened that the amount of each type of wood perfectly fit 2 rooms in desperate need of a face-lift, so Brook and I spent a few days removing the old, painting the nasty, and putting down the beauty. Here are the before and after pics, as well as a time-lapse video documenting our bedroom from start to finish. Room by room, 1971 will be transformed into 2010.. and beyond!

Holy Moly that looks SOOOO much better than before.
Hey, your floor looks fantastic! This is your Aunt Angela, who has a blog of her own under a phony name, Jiva. But I figured you might enjoy seeing how the other half lives. (People who don't have any mountains). So tell me, is a fireplace required when you live in a really cold climate? Is a back up generator required? Inquiring minds wish to know, since I'm heading west.
