On Saturday I headed up towards Fairbanks to shoot Annie and Lennie's wedding at the Silver Gulch Brewery located in Fox, just north of town. What an amazing place to shoot! I hadn't been there before but loved all the textures and colors and cool backgrounds to work with. They gave me a bunch of time with the two of them so getting the goods was easy. They were also totally in love and cute together which made things easy. I think you can see it in the way they interact. All day the lighting was perfect. There's something different about northern latitude light that you won't find anywhere else. It's much whiter and more pure and makes for distinct photos. We get it in Anchorage too but I've always noticed it being a little more brilliant in Fairbanks and past the Arctic Circle. One of the things I thought was cool is that Lennie gets two honeymoons - one with Annie and one with the guys on a hunting trip. I don't know how he worked that out with Annie but good job!
